Dr. Kaplan-Stein grew up surrounded by animal medicine because her mother is also a veterinarian. This sparked a passion for exotic and zoo creatures, so Dr. Kaplan-Stein turned her passion into purpose, and she began her educational journey at a young age. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 with a Master’s in Public Health and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She did a 1-year internship in Tucson AZ following vet school allowing her to become well versed in a variety of practices. Outside of work she enjoys participating in Dressage with her 13-year-old Sport horse, Sage (picture attached), enjoying the outdoors while hiking, white water rafting, and snowboarding and of course spending time with her husband, Matt, and their two Miniature Schnauzer’s Kiki and Cappie.
